SHARK LAB - FLOODED CANYON OASIS

An unofficial fan mod, not made or supported by LucasArts.

Prototype: 32 animated killer piranhas and two animated boss sharks.
Piranhas have biting jaws, moving fins and tails, and a faster enraged swim.

Put SHARKLAB.GOB in mods, enable it on every player, and host Canyon Oasis.
Use this mod by itself: it replaces the shared static world and Mod Menu.
Bind Mod Menu in Setup > Controls. Open it, look at a button, and press the
same key to select Scuba ON/OFF or Close. Scuba starts ON. The whole level is
always flooded in this version.
You start each life with a stormtrooper rifle and 200 energy cells. Your scuba
suit stays equipped after death and respawn. Living shark seams match their
skin; red cross sections appear only after a shark dies.

Underlings bite but flee damage and nearby dead sharks while calm. A pursuing
boss can enrage them only below half health. Enraged underlings ignore that
fear until the boss's rally order wears off. Recent deaths stop frightening
them after a short time.
Bosses remember their target, grab and thrash victims, and may carry them away.
Another player shooting the boss can make it release its victim and switch
targets. Some grabs end in a retreat; an uninterrupted longer grab is fatal.
Damage to player health creates drifting blood that predators can investigate.
While grabbed, a smooth third-person camera follows the shark. Your visible
player model plays a matching carry or struggle animation in its mouth.
This supports standard Jedi Knight player-model hierarchies, including the
scuba suit. Rescue, release and death restore your previous view.

Underlings intentionally differ between players. Killing one removes the nearest
underling on other players' machines; individual underling health is local.
Boss health, targets and combat states are host-owned. This prototype contains
one finite group of 32 underling lives, with no replenishment or host migration.
The first underling class is implicit in its protocol; additional classes/groups
need separate state channels. Multiple bosses are supported (two in this build).

Only Canyon Oasis is supported. Automated OpenJKDF2 tests do not certify retail
JK. Fish schools, shoals and reefs are still future work.
No stock level or game archive is distributed.

Scuba suit and breathing sound: copied with attribution from the workbench's
generation-1 Scuba experiment (Gnarly / Club OC). Five suit materials are inherited
flat-color placeholders. Menu: the workbench's shared Mod Menu kit. Navigation,
enemy controllers and drifting blood: generation-2 Shark Lab.
Boss shark source: supplied by the owner as shark.glb. Rigid sections, jaw,
teeth, animations, victim presentation and follow camera: Shark Lab tooling.
Physics-follow technique: SM Sith Lord's archived manipulator camera and weapon.
Piranha source: supplied by the owner as piran.glb, with its original teeth
and texture. Rigid jaw/fins, body sections, living/dead caps and six animations:
Shark Lab tooling. Piranha corpses float briefly before disappearing.
